Es erm\u00f6glicht dem Kind, seine inneren Bewegungen, Vorstellungen und Gef\u00fchle auszudr\u00fccken und sichtbar zu machen. Schon ein Strich auf Papier verr\u00e4t uns etwas dar\u00fcber, was das Kind empfindet: Eine sehr schwache, blasse Linie sagt uns etwas ganz anderes als ein kr\u00e4ftiges, leuchtend orangefarbenes Gekritzel.<\/p>\n<p>Therapeutic drawing combines nonverbal communication with sensory perception and  is initially done hand-over-hand: while the child feels the warm and grounding touch of the adult as they guide the crayon hand-over-hand across the paper and watches as it leaves visible, colorful lines. Simple straight and curved lines\u2014the basic elements of writing\u2014are used in slow, predictable rhythms to create an infinite variety of patterns and beautiful motifs. This process connects perception, movement, and thought.<\/p>\n<p>Guided therapeutic drawing is particularly helpful for children who lack motivation, feel aimless, or have autism, as it allows them to experience the grounding effect of the pressure from the wax crayons and the movement of their arm, hand, and fingers as they draw simple, purposeful lines. This creates a close connection between perception and motor skills.<\/li>\n<li data-section-id=\"tpv0dd\" data-start=\"490\" data-end=\"595\"><strong data-start=\"492\" data-end=\"519\">Eye-Hand Coordination:<\/strong> Seeing and feeling, anticipating and planning\u2014these elements work together to guide and control the movement of the hand accordingly.<\/li>\n<li data-section-id=\"wi8pf5\" data-start=\"596\" data-end=\"731\"><strong data-start=\"598\" data-end=\"621\">Motor Planning:<\/strong> A form requires a sequence of movements, changes in direction, transitions, and a certain amount of advance planning.<\/li>\n<li data-section-id=\"lrum88\" data-start=\"732\" data-end=\"861\"><strong data-start=\"734\" data-end=\"755\">Spatial Orientation:<\/strong> Symmetry, direction, boundaries, inside and outside, and spatial relationships are experienced firsthand.<\/li>\n<li data-section-id=\"1tcvb5o\" data-start=\"862\" data-end=\"998\"><strong data-start=\"864\" data-end=\"902\">Concentration and impulse control:<\/strong> A form should not be performed haphazardly, but rather with care and increasing control.<\/li>\n<li data-section-id=\"17u0ejq\" data-start=\"999\" data-end=\"1188\"><strong data-start=\"1001\" data-end=\"1028\">From Experience to Thought:<\/strong> The external movement gradually becomes an internal mental image of the shape.
