My child feels so FAR AWAY from me
Do you sometimes have the feeling that your child feels far away from you, even though they are right next to you? In this course we will explore the feeling of emotional distance in our relationship with an autistic child and helpful responses and techniques to support your child in their personality development.
Are you worried because
- your child often feels so far away and you want to find a way to reach them?
- Sometimes you just can't find a way to reach your child?
- Do you sometimes have the feeling that your child is ‚against you‘ and doesn't want to be reached?
- Your child hardly wants to learn anything new
- everything your child learns soon feels fake, mechanical and robotic
- constantly just running back and forth instead of playing with his toys?
- seems disoriented and can't keep himself busy?
- has too many toys but doesn't really play with anything and only wants to be on the cell phone all the time?
This is a common problem. For some reason, some children have difficulty with the most basic milestones of early and personality development and parents, teachers and therapists are desperate to better understand the underlying mental processes in order to support the child's development in a meaningful way.
In this module, I'll show you how to make your home a nurturing environment and what types of toys and activities promote your child's play, learning, and language development.
What can we do so that the child doesn't feel so far away?
In this chapter we explore in 5 lessons the situation when you have the feeling that the child next to you seems to be far away and 3 different ways in which the child can be ‚with me‘. Understanding what underlies these emotional situations provides helpful responses and techniques to support your child's personality development
Lesson 1: When the child feels ‚FAR AWAY FROM ME‘
it tends to feel cold and makes your heart contract, because it seems impossible to reach him.
Lesson 2: When the child seems to be ‚AGAINST ME‘
It tends to feel hot or as if on fire, or like a fight or a battle. But if you engage in the battle, you're lost,
Lesson 3: When the child is ‚WITH ME‘: 3 ways of being ‚WITH ME‘
There are 3 Different Qualities of ‘Being With Me’
Lesson 4: When the child is WITH ME, but in an artificial/fake way
